Tythegston Walled Garden

Organic Vegetables, Honey and Herbs

We supply local organic herbs, honey, vegetables and preserves

This is an 18th Century walled kitchen garden, near Porthcawl in south Wales

Greg Nuttgens is restoring the garden to its former use, growing herbs, vegetables and fruit, and keeping bees. Chutneys and preserves made from garden produce are sold locally. The garden is currently in Conversion to full Organic status.

Herbs

Available fresh, or in pots for planting out, or in pots for growing in the kitchen. These include: Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, Thyme, Chives, Coriander, Tarragon, Basil, Oregano, Marjoram, Lemon Grass, Garlic, Horseradish, Fennel, Dill, Lemon Balm, Lemon Verbena, Hyssop, Sorrel, Lovage, Lavender, Bergamot and Borage.

Vegetables

A range of seasonal, unusual and exotic vegetables is grown, including a wide range of salad crops.

Honey

Hives are kept in the garden and on local farms. The bees collect nectar and pollen from the flowers and herbs growing in the garden, from the trees and wild flowers surrounding the garden, and from farm crops such as beans and clover.
